Located in Sligo, 7.9 miles from Cathedral of Immaculate Conception, Markree Castle has accommodations with a garden, free private parking, a terrace and a restaurant. The facility was wonderful. It's a castle. The high quality staff was what made us feel like a king.

Overlooking Mount Knocknarea, the Strandhill Lodge and Suites are 10 minutes’ walk from sandy beaches and just 1-mile from Sligo Airport. Rooms have i-Pod docks and sea or countryside views. I liked the location. Very central. The bedroom was a very good size and very clean. Staff were very pleasant and helpful. Hotel was very good value.

Dinner and breakfast with the other guests was very enjoyable. The house and grounds were pleasant and welcoming.
