Rooms are amazingly big, airy and well furnished for the prices. Manager and all the staff are extremely warm and professional. Cleanliness is impeccable. A small dinning area plus balcony at the back of the room makes it a pleasant stay. Must for a short to long term stay. It is about 20 minutes drive away from Police Bazaar. It is very close to main centre but at the sometime, it is far away from the maddening crown and traffic jams of Shillong.

One must visit the places like Maylynnong, Dawki, and Sohra which are at a drivable diatance and a day trip. One can enjoy scenery, waterfalls, natural living root bridges, villages of north east, distant views of Bangladesh, tree houses, natural limestone caves etc as part of these trips. Everything beautiful lies away from Shillong , you may stay in Shillong as your base but make everyday as an excursion day to visit various nature and scenic spots. There is no restaurant with any authentic food of specific area but we tried City hut Dhaba and Quizine which are decent places for eat, there are others like them. It is a capital of Meghalaya and one meets the people of the North East about whom we knew little, it helps to know them better.

I travelled with my boyfriend. Shillong has good restaurants and cafes. I had good Bastenga curry at Centre point hotel. I also had great Manipuri food in a restaurant, name of which I don’t recall. We heard great live music in Cafe Shillong. Most of the restaurants in Shillong will never disappoint you in terms of flavour. I loved everything I consumed in all of Meghalaya. One would love it if she/he appreciates both vegetarian and non-vegetarian food. Apart from food, I expected Shillong city to be clean. However, I was a bit disappointed to find the city very dirty. Most of the drains were open, and walls were tainted with spit. This was especially the case in Police Bazar.
