Although the check-in works automatically (got an email with the room number and access code (which they change daily)) there was a person at the reception during afternoon/evening. The hot water doesn't smell of sulfur. Nice hot tub

I thought that very comfortable beds were only possible in Austria, but no - The Greenhouse Hotel managed to beat any place I've stayed in so far. And there are lots of them. Then there are many lovely places to eat downstairs. And enough parking spaces for all guests. And special kudos goes to the WhatsApp group warning you about Northern Lights happening - it really helped us see the magic.

It’s a perfect base for exploring the golden circle and the south coast. There is only 7 km to Hveragerdi and Selfoss, cities with a wide range of shops and restaurants. Cabins were so cozy. Do need to drive down F road to get to property but worth it. Host was great, very willing to share information about the area. A short 10 min hike from the cabin was an amazing waterfall.
