Really lovely place to stay, ideally situated for a stop halfway along the Shimanami Kaido route. Wakka was a very chilled out place, and the staff were all super nice and helpful. The barbecue on both evenings was amazing. I would definitely recommend it!

The atmosphere and vibe was very clean and kinda Nordic. Wooden floors! Room was very roomy, almost decadently so. One of the fanciest hotels I've been in terms of general atmosphere.

The room was comfortable and large, the staff was friendly, there was a treat in the fridge, the rooftop onsen was amazing and it's located really centrally. The hotel is perfectly located near some of the most important landmarks of Matsuyama. Also, it has a magnificent view towards the city. In short, the view was magnificent, the beds were exceptionally well, the room clean, the service on point. The transportation is really convenient to get to the hotel and to travel to other places in the city. The spa and sauna also propose a gorgeous view towards the city. In all, I highly recommend this hotel if you want to visit Matsuyama or the prefecture of Ehime.

The emplacement is incredible, you can go by foot to the castle and there are transports just in front to go to the dogo onsen (you can also go by foot) There are big windows so you can have a lot of air easily which is always enjoyable

I can't say enough good things about the location! Gorgeous small town, great view out the window, the staff goes above and beyond if you need anything. We rented the Japanese style room and while I found the sleeping pad a bit too hard my wife slept fine! We rented one of their private onsens and it was amazing! The breakfast buffet was also great.

The location was so convenient. We have no vehicle so the train station is close and there are lots of buses. The Lawsons so close was extremely convenient and I loved the bath salts. Everything was wonderful. The staff is amazing, so helpful. We used the laundry with such ease.

The guy at reception was extremely helpful and kind. This hostel comes prepared with all of the information and resources you need to do the Shimanami Kaido. They also have a discount at a super nice local onsen. The facilities are nice and the value for this place is just incredible.
