Located in Saulgoži, just by the Riga – Bauska highway, Motel Brencis, fully renovated in 2019, offers heated rooms with free Wi-Fi and a private bathroom with a shower. Not a fancy hotel but perfect choice for one night sleep when you need to stop. Comfortable bed with clean nice bedding, great location (right on E67), could not ask for more. Nice lady at the reception desk.

It was perhaps the best place I have ever booked in a lifetime. I was treated like family. Breakfast was outstanding and prepared with, in part, vegetables from the family garden. The village has interesting churches. Both wife and husband are very easy to communicate with. It was great getting to know authentic Latvian people. This remarkable home stay should be a must for anyone traveling in Latvia and interested in local culture. The only picture I had that fit the booking categories was outside. However, the room was wonderful, the bathroom the same and the rest of the house the same.

The house is wonderful, beautiful and clean! Kitchen was fully equipped. The nice host came to fix our small electrical issue immediately when we noticed a problem. What we found very impressive also was that when there was a power outage in the entire region due to heavy rain, he was prepared and put on his private generator so we had electricity for the house. We ate every evening on the big terrace and enjoyed beautiful sunsets. Kids and adults liked the big yard and playgrounds, football goals etc. very much.
