This is a very classy hotel located on the Sørfjorden, a narrow branch of the Hardangerfjord, so narrow that you can see across the fjord from your room. Setting is spectacular. Spa facilities were excellent with several pools, sauna, hot tub. We hiked from the hotel up through the apple orchards along a river valley to a waterfall, about 3h walk, not too strenuous with great views. Dining on site is lovely but expensive; there are other options near by.

Eidfjord Hotel has a garden, terrace, a restaurant and bar in Eidfjord. Free private parking is available and the hotel also offers bike hire for guests who want to explore the surrounding area. Probably our best hotel during our 10 days tour of Norway. Nice staff. Wonderfull view from the lounge and from the restaurant. We enjoyed there excellent grilles salmon, locan cider and cheesecake.

Vik Pensjonat features a garden, terrace, a restaurant and bar in Eidfjord. The hotel also offers free WiFi and free private parking. Certain rooms will provide you with a kitchen with a fridge. Great location, got a cabin on the water, beautiful scenery. Equipped with everything needed, big salon and a dining table.

Situated 4 km from Røldal Village, overlooking Lake Røldalsvatnet, Hordatun Hotel offers international cuisine and an on-site bar. Very good breakfast. A lot of space in the room, very good facilities. Parking lot nearby. Great view from the windows. Very nice and welcoming staff

Tyssedal Hotel is by the Hardangerfjorden at the foot of the Hardangervidda Mountains, 6 km north of central Odda. It offers free WiFi, private parking and free sauna access. Great hotel, good location, nice staff and super breakfast

This hotel is located by Lake Sandvevatnet in the village of Odda, close to the Hardangervidda National Park and Folgefonna Glacier Park. The centre of Odda is 2.1 km away. The View at Breakfast and also from the Room was Spectacular. They gave us a room where we didn’t have to climb stairs and it was easily accessible. The staff was were very kind. There were friendly sheep around the building. Always ask for a Table Fan which will be given to you on request, as u will need 1 for slight air circulation in the room….coz u will need to shut the windows coz of the water noise and mosquitoes sometimes.…or else u might feel stuffy or sweaty in the middle of the night…..this is a tip to be used in the whole of Norway.

Located in Haukeligrend, 18 km from Haukelifjell Ski Centre, Haukeli Hotel provides accommodation with a terrace, free private parking and a restaurant. This place was a haven after a long day hiking in the snow. We had struggled to find somewhere to eat as we were there out of season but the hotel arranged dinner for us that night. The room was very big and comfortable, an excellent place to relax after a strenuous day! It was also excellent value for money. Some reviews said the view wasn't good as of a car park, but we had a view the other side of a forest beyond a road so we're very happy!
