Situated in the heart of Tongariro National Park, Skotel Alpine Resort offers a restaurant, a hot tub and a terrace bar with a fireplace. Most accommodations boast stunning mountain or region views. The location was incredible! The staff was very friendly. The facilities seemed a bit older, but mostly quite clean.

Suncourt Hotel & Conference Centre offers spectacular views of Lake Taupo and the volcanoes of Tongariro National Park. Room had everything you need for a few day stay. Location was perfect with a quick walk to heaps of shops and restaurants. Right opposite the lake. Friendly staff. Free car parking. Free WIFI. Laundry room Available. The best thing was pulling up into the car park after a few hours of driving with our toddler, to see the trampoline and swing-set - he was entertained for hours. We will be back for sure.

Hilton Lake Taupo includes free pool and gym access and features views over Lake Taupo and is just minutes away from the town centre. It is a 15-minute drive from Taupo Airport. Duty manager Swapnil and receptionist Rajneet were really friendly and helpful to make my birthday trip amazing! Casey in the restaurant was really friendly as well, we had a perfect stay!

The Powderhorn Chateau is situated in Ohakune, at the entrance to Tongariro National Park. Love the mulled wine (the best I've ever had in nz). The restaurant was full and the food was amazing, we had seafood chowder, pork ribs, and a burger. The room is spacious and love the idea of providing the electronic blanket.

Located in the Tongariro National Park, The Park Hotel Ruapehu offers affordable accommodation in a stunning alpine setting. Guests are provided with free parking and 500MB of free WiFi. Heated bed! Amazing view from when I walk out the lobby and great food! The room was very comfortable and bathroom is huge!

Located on the shore, the Lakefront Lodge Taupo offers spectacular lake views and free WiFi access. It has an outdoor swimming pool. Great location across from the lake. The safari theme was cool especially the blanket on the bed.
