You have access to a gym (didn’t use), wet and dry sauna (used) and a swimming pool nearby (didn’t use). There is an open kitchenette where you can prepare your own tea or coffee or a simple meal. Room: large and functional, comfortable place for two bags; electric sockets: numerous and easily accessible, also near the bed. Bed: large and comfortable. Bathroom: middle in size, very functional, large space to put you toiletries near the washing basin and the bathtub. Breakfast: very good for all styles: French (different sweets and jams), German (ham and cheese), English (scrambled eggs, bacon and mushroom). Very good fresh bread. WiFi: good. Staff: nice and helpful. Parking: there are 5 parking places at the front door, a convenient option to unload your bags. There is also a large parking behind the hotel with access from 7th floor (yes, it’s the ground level on the back). To access the parking you must climb the stairs or drive about 700m following the signs for bombeiros (fire station), after U-turn, turn left to a dead-end road. There are few steep steps to enter the hotel.

We had dinner at the hotel's restaurant and it was the best dinner we had at a restaurant in three week's Portugal (other hotels also had great restaurants but this one was also very affordable for the quality we got). The breakfast was rather intimate and this small hotel cannot offer big buffets like a bigger hotel but it was still among the best breakfasts we had in three weeks in Portugal because it had enough variety and top quality. The terarace and pool have great views. We had a big room which was perfect for us as a family of four.

We had a long stay with a 5 month old baby and it was amazing. Babies and children can use both swimming pools if using swim pants/diepers. All staff (reception, dinning room) is super friendly and helped out every way they could. The hotel manager greeted most guests daily and made sure everything was ok. The hotel and gardens are beautiful and well kept and the rooms very comfortable. Amazing view. Very good breakfast.
