The Slow Leopard Kilwa ligger i Kilwa Masoko, 1,4 km från Ruins of Kilwa Kisiwani, och erbjuder boende med en trädgård, gratis privat parkering och en bar. An excellent hostel with an excellent location. Right off the beach, they have their own boat to take you on tours of the Kilwa ruins or epic snorkeling adventures in the stunning coral reefs. The guide was knowledgeable, providing me with a first-time snorkeling lessons and an exciting history of the ruins. The hostel space itself is beautiful and pleasantly relaxing, I enjoyed stargazing on the rooftop balcony at night with a cold beer in-hand.

Kilwa Beach Lodge ligger på en före detta kokosplantage vid stranden Masoko Pwani och erbjuder tillgång till en privat strand, djuphavsfiske, snorkling och hästsafariturer. The location is great, right next to the ocean. The staff were very helpful. They even sent a motorcycle to guide us to the lodge because we arrived in the dark and Google Maps doesn't show all of the roads in the area. The food was really good.
