Ardara
Irene is a superb, friendly host and we felt right at home from the minute we stepped inside the door until we left. Our room was a really good size and quiet despite facing onto the main road. Breakfast was excellent and thanks to Irene's recommendations, we had a great night in the nearby village (2 minutes walk away) visiting the local hostelries. She also gave us directions to a stunningly scenic back road (not on the Wild Atlantic Way) over the mountains to Glencolumbkille, which was a real highlight of our weekend in Donegal.
The Loft is right in the center of town, but I could only tell from the amount of people in the ground floor pub. The hotel above was very quiet and comfortable. The staff couldn't have been kinder, helping find shelter for the bicycle I was riding along the Wild Atlantic Way. The trad breakfast in the pub was terrific. One thing to note is that there are many stairs to get to the rooms, so take caution if you have ambulatory difficulty. If you are staying in or passing through Ballina, stay here; I would again.
Milltown Malbay
Fabulous apartment that gives you such freedom to explore the West Coast. Great base with the town only a short drive away. The apartment was clean and tastefully decorated with lovely touches and attention to detail. We felt that we had our own privacy at all times. Would highly recommend this accommodation if you're looking for a central location in Clare, that's modern and easily accessible to lots of other amazing destinations of the Wild Atlantic Way. We can't wait to return. Thanks for everything 🙏
A romantic ending to a super motorcycle trip doing the Wild Atlantic Way with my partner. Super room as I'd booked a suite for a romantic surprise. We ate in the hotel bar, which was lively and lots of families enjoying a Sunday evening together which was wonderful to see. The bar menu was very well thought out, our evening meal was wholesome, tasty and very well presented. I'd recommend staying and eating here. The staff are attentive and very knowledgeable too. A great pint of Guinness too. Thank you
The hotel has lots of little nooks that you can slip into. At one stage people started signing in the bar and it was nice to be able to go elsewhere so that we could chat without us disturbing them and them disturbing us. The location was remote which suited us perfectly. There were some great locations close by for walking and eating but you needed a car to get to them - we did not eat in the hotel as we wanted to check out food in various locations on the Wild Atlantic Way.
Clifden
Breakfast was delicious, room was big and bed was comfy. Location was perfect, very central. I stayed here the night before beginning a 3 day 450KM cycle along the Wild Atlantic Way for Laura Lynn, Ireland's only children's hospice. The staff were so kind and even donated (https://www.idonate.ie/fundraiser/DonateMSWAW) to the cause when I told them why I was there. Wonderful people!
The room we had was furnished beautifully and the receptionist was very welcoming and good humoured on our arrival. Later that evening the meal was superb and the bar staff and others were so friendly we spent the evening there. Breakfast was great as were the staff serving it. All in all a wonderful experience as we travelled the wild Atlantic way.

The Piper’s Rest is situated wonderfully, just steps away from both fine dining and pub food—and the best pub in Doolin for music (McDermott’s)!
