“The staff are very welcoming and go out of their way to assist you. They will make arrangements for any reservations for dinners or tours that you require. There are many tour brochures in the office. The beach was close by and Lagoon Breeze Villas has small beach chairs, snorkelling equipment and kayaks that you can take to the beach and out on the reef. The unit was roomy with lots of windows to let in the light, and drapes to keep the room cool. The rain shower-head was wonderful, and the kitchen was adequately stocked for self catering. The bed was very comfortable and had a little reading light above the bed. My unit had both a double and a single bed. There is AC as well as fans and an eco friendly attitude towards water and electricity conservation. House keeping staff, gardening staff and security were all pleasant and happy to answer any questions. There is a small library, BBQ areas and lovely gardens. There is a comprehensive compendium of the resort features in the unit. The resort pool has several lounge chairs and there is a children's play area. They serve a great breakfast from 8-9:30 am and offer Happy Hour from 4:30-6:00 pm-a good time to meet other guests. There is wifi for a cost, but like most places on Rarotonga wifi reception is spotty at best-not the resort's fault. There is a computer for guest use in the office. I would recommend Lagoon Breeze Villas for a solo, couple or family stay as they are more than able to adequately meet the needs of every guest. Coco the resort dog is lovely.”

Highly recommend the Thai green curry on the menu , was delicious. And if you don't chose to stay here , a great stop off for a meal and drinks before you head home on your flight . “- The location is amazing - it's on the opposite side of the island to the tourist complex (Muri Beach) so it's a little more quiet, the roads are better, and you have some privacy. - The Villas are spacious, clean, very well kitted out and have all the things you could imagine needing. - Michelle and Andy (owners) are genuinely kind and amazing people. They lent us snorkelling gear, gave us great advice, gave us the right amount of privacy, sorted airport transfers, and even let us borrow a spare vehicle for a couple of days. - The restaurant has the best food we had on the island! - 15 minutes walk to a store, a few restaurants nearby, and places to buy a cool beer - Black Rock is a nice beach, interesting shells, long and white sanded, we did some snorkelling there and although it wasn't as good as Fruits of Rarotonga it was pretty amazing. - We really loved the pool, nice temperature and overlooks the ocean - Well lit BBQ and cooking area”

“It was more than what I had expected, nice comfy bungalow as soon as I put my foot in the door just the right size for me and my family, everything you need in the kitchen or can just make do with what was supplied I wasn't concerned.. the view was beautiful also.. the bed was absolutely amazing and they offered to put another single bed in the bungalow on the day, the cleaning service that was done every 3 days was wonderful fresh linens towels after a day out was a bonus wish I had thanked them personally before I checked out but ran out of time. A++++ from me definitely be booking there in the future and recommending. We Also had the aircon which helped so much I put the cherry on the cake definitely work every $$$$”

“We needed someplace to stay for 1 night as well as staying a bit late the next day, as our flight left at 11 pm. No one on airbnb or other similar sites had any availability. I had read a review somewhere saying some Central Hotel guests were there "hourly" so I was a bit concerned, but in a bit of a panic I reached out to Central Motel. Malcolm to the rescue! He was so relaxed and easy to work with. Nothing was a problem. We could pay a bit extra and stay until we needed to get to our flight. While on Aitutaki, our local friend Charlie mentioned that Central Motel, Malcolm and Joe were fabulous and where he always stays while in Raro. I felt better. At the airport, we were met with a hearty hello from Joe. A character with a plethora of stories and jokes, I could tell immediately that we were in good hands. The room was large, equipped with what you need for coffee/tea and a frig. The bed was large and comfy. There is a small wading pool to cool off. The location is just 1 block from the roundabout, so close to everything, but quiet. Joe, a stand-in manager for Malcolm who was off the island, was a delight to have around. Any question was answered, any request was no problem. We invited him to join us for a coca cola with some friends. He is a hoot! Other guests we met were regular travelers. Not sure if the earlier reviewer was there during spring break or some crazy party time, but I would not hesitate to recommend Central Motel for your stay, short or long, in Avarua. Thanks Joe and Malcolm for welcoming us to your corner of the world!”

“A big covered lanai from which you could stare at the ocean and listen to the waves. The beach and water were clean and it was nice to be able to easily get in the water, go out 50 feet and enjoy seeing the fish. The unit is very clean, the owners are very nice (extremely accommodating and helpful). I found the bed to be quite comfortable. Planes do come by but after the first night we didn't wake up to them (and enjoyed seeing them during the day -if we were around). Roosters crow but that wasn't a problem for me and I don't think you can escape the roosters anywhere on Rarotonga- for us it was part of the flavor of the island. I would love to go back and stay here again.”
